RECYCLING CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE

The RI Resource Recovery Corp sponsors a recycling drop off of electronics, paints, chemicals, motor oil, propane tanks and other items, on the first Saturday of each month from 7:00 am to 12:00 at 65 Shun Pike Johnston. Call (401)-942-1430 for more information.

DISPOSAL REGULATIONS

A) Prohibited Materials

No toxic waste accepted. This includes:

Asbestos
Chemicals
Solvents
Motor Oil
Flammables or explosives
Radioactive wastes
Medical wastes
Mercury
Household cleaners in amounts over one (1) gallon

B) Mattresses do have a twenty dollar ($20.00) recycling fee per RI Resource Recovery.

C) Paint cans are acceptable as long as they are covered or completely dried out.

D) Tire disposal fee is five dollars ($5.00) per tire with a maximum 6 tires per container.

E) Appliances are acceptable.

There is a $20.00 Freon removal charge for refrigerators and freezers.

F) The Department of Transportation prohibits the transport of loose or unsecured loads.

Containers excessively overloaded will have items removed and left behind as to facilitate the safe transport of the container.

G) Containers should be covered during inclement weather.

We are not responsible for additional weight due to snow or rain.
